What to listen for
Falling cells begin after rests
Short falling upper groups start after small rests above detached chords. Hear the gaps as part of each gesture.
Rising launches lead to a sharp response
Related figures reach higher before a short high response. Follow their direction without giving every quick note the same accent.
Opening-like cells return in writing
Familiar cells return within the repeated contrast with changed cadence preparation. Hear their relation to the opening rather than an extra repeat command.
Longer lower notes under shorter final attacks
A longer lower line supports renewed upper cells before the increasingly separated close. Keep the sustained foundation audible through the short final releases.
How to practise it
Make each little slurred group start after its rest, over light chord punctuation.
- Practise the two opening rest-and-slur groups with an even sixteenth subdivision.
- Practise the chord-rest pattern softly before combining the two streams.
How hard is it
Inquiétude is a provisional later destination in this teaching subset, allowing for continuity under a more urgent character.
