What to listen for
One line first
The upper line begins after a rest while the lower part waits. Hear the changing short-note rhythm clearly before other voices join it.
Another entrance
In the next measure another voice starts beneath the upper line. Follow the new entrance while keeping the first line in your ear.
How hard is it
The exposed opening subject includes short dotted figures; later entries create simultaneous moving voices. Balancing those lines and the final Adagio needs more than fast reading.
