What to listen for
Several lines become one
Follow the separate moving strands, the brief D-major colour, and their final convergence on unison F.
How to practise it
Low repeated notes stepping upward; short turn at the end of the repeated group.
- Sing the changing repeated-note centres first, then practise the repetitions lightly without making each one a new phrase peak.
- Practise the short turn as leading into 57, keeping its small steps even and the arrival longer.
How hard is it
Fast imitative exchanges require clean entries, secure pulse and coordinated short-note articulation.
