What to listen for
A pair becomes a moving phrase
The upper E flat/C pair repeats before the line opens into G/E flat with unequal lengths. The lower C lasts longer. Listen for the transition from repeated paired sound into a more independent melodic shape.
How to practise it
- Coordinate each repeated upper pair cleanly, then keep the longer note audible when the other upper pitch moves.
How hard is it
Repeated upper pairs lead to separated melodic motion and later quicker figures while the lower bass changes register. Coordinating paired attacks, phrase length and changing activity supports an intermediate estimate.
