History
K. 15m is item 12 of the London notebook: the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe lists it as a keyboard piece in F major. Mozart wrote these short ideas while the family was in London in 1764; the newer Köchel catalogue connects much of the notebook with Leopold Mozart's serious illness there. This is a notebook component, not a movement from a finished published sonata cycle.

What to listen for
A small rise reaches repeated notes
The opening upper line rises from F through A and B-flat to repeated C notes. Hear one arrival rather than separate small steps.
A moving line over held harmony
The next source region runs up and down in eighths while the lower pair lasts longer. Follow the melody’s turn without losing the slower supporting sound.
How to practise it
- Play the opening F, A, B-flat rise into C alone, preserving the written grouping. Repeat through the following C attacks without restarting the pulse at the arrival.
- Play the upper rise and fall alone, then hold the lower pair for its written length while adding that line. Check that the lower sound is not reattacked at each upper eighth note.
How hard is it
The source combines moving upper eighths with longer lower dyads and later register changes. Keeping the line coherent over slower harmony supports an intermediate estimate; encoded regions are not a new printed-bar accuracy claim.
