History
K. 15o is item 14 of the London notebook: the Neue Mozart-Ausgabe lists it as a keyboard piece in D major. Mozart wrote these short ideas while the family was in London in 1764; the newer Köchel catalogue connects much of the notebook with Leopold Mozart's serious illness there. This is a notebook component, not a movement from a finished published sonata cycle.

What to listen for
One note leads into a flurry
The small A pickup leads into a long upper figure in tiny notes. Hear the figure’s climb and turn as a phrase over the slower lower notes.
The pattern repeats over a new bass
The next source region repeats the upper shape while the lower opening note changes. Listen for that new foundation beneath the familiar quick line.
How to practise it
- Practise the upper figure from its first D through the climb and turn in small connected groups. Join those groups, then include the A pickup so the entry is part of the same phrase.
- Play the two cited upper figures consecutively, then add their lower notes. Check the changed lower opening note in the second region while keeping the upper pattern's written rhythm unchanged.
How hard is it
After a lone A pickup, the upper part presents extended thirty-second-note figures above much slower lower motion. Fluent grouping and register control make this a more demanding estimate than a sparse notebook title might suggest.
